WHAT 'WE CLAIM AS OUR INVENTION IS:

1. A cattle guard comprising plates convex in Cross section and having a coating of relatively slippery material on the outer face, the said plates being designed to be located between and adjacent to the rails of a track.

2. The cattle guard claimed in claim 1, in which side barrier members are provided suitably attached to the cattle guard.

3. The cattle guard claimed in claim 1, in which the convex plates are treated on the outer surface with a coating of white enamel ware.
