Prefabricated Metal Building Construction (Patent No: 624142)

Description: The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows:

1. An improved metal building construction comprising a foundation, a peripheral base member secured around the top of the foundation, a plurality of wall panels secured together at their side edges to form side and end walls, a top cap secured over the top ends of the assembled side wall panels, eave members secured to the top cap, a plurality of spaced sockets in the eave members, eave grippers engageable with the eave members between the sockets and cross members interconnecting the eave grippers to hold the side walls in erect substantially parallel relationship with the bottom ends of the side walls located in the peripheral base member, end walls erected between the ends of the side walls with the bottom ends of such end walls located in the peripheral base member, external corner members interconnecting the side and end walls, a plurality of roof panels secured together at their side edges, a ridge member interconnecting the plurality of roof panels along their top ends to form a roof peak, such panels engageable at their bottom ends in the sockets in the eave members on opposite side walls and gable members interconnecting the roof panels with the end walls.

2. The construction as claimed in Claim 1, together with channels secured to the peripheral base member inside the side end walls, insulation panels supported at the bottom thereof in the said channels and in edge to edge relationship to lie against the inside of the side and end walls, a top cap member fitted over the top of the assembled insulating panels and additional insulating panels supported horizontally on the top cap member and the cross members in edge to edge relationship to form a ceiling.

3. The construction as claimed in Claim 1 together with a hanging support extending from the ridge member to the cross members.
