Claim.—1. In a lamp the combination of an oil receptacle containing an absorbent filling adapted to be saturated with an illuminating medium, means of conducting the illuminating medium therefrom to an ignition surface, and ignition surface provided with heated members to receive and gasify the illuminating medium and act as combustion surfaces, all substantially as described.
2. In a lamp, the combination of a receiver with means of conducting illuminating medium therefrom to an igniting surface, an igniting surface adapted to be heated by the combustion of the illuminating medium and when heated continuously generate a gas from the said medium, and act as flame projectors, all substantially as described.
3. In a lamp, the combination of an oil receptacle containing an absorbent filling adapted to be saturated with an illuminating medium, means of conducting the illuminating medium therefrom to an ignition surface, and ignition surface adapted to be heated by the combustion of the illuminating medium and when heated continuously generate a gas from the said medium and act as flame projectors, all substantially as described.
