Description: John Angus MacDonaId, Blairmore, Alberta, Canada, 12th April, 1921; 6 years. Filed 4th September, 1920. Receipt No. 335,091

Claim.—1. In a device such as described, a battery box, batteries therein, contact posts extending from the batteries, plungers disposed in alignment therewith, yielding contact members interposed between the plungers and binding posts, and conductors connected to the plungers.

2. In an apparatus such as described, a battery box and a cover for the same, batteries disposed within the box and having contact posts extending therefrom, plungers movable through the cover to and from the contact posts, contact member interposed between the contact posts and plungers and yieldingly held out of engagement with the contact posts, and conductors connected with the plungers.

3. In a device such as described, a battery box having a cover and batteries disposed within the battery box, said cover having openings therein, contact, posts extending from the batteries in alignment with the openings of the cover, springs secured to the cover, plungers carried by the springs and adapted to pass through the openings in the cover towards the contact posts, spring contact members disposed between the contact posts and plungers, and conductors leading from the plungers.
