Claim.—1. A heating element comprising a pair of heat retaining and storage members, and a heating member embedded between the two said members.

2. A heating element comprising a pair of separable heat retaining and storage members, and an electrical resistance embedded and hermetically sealed between the separable members.

3. The device claimed in claim 2, in which peripheral rings are provided with a backing of relatively soft material to prevent air passing over the electrical resistance.
