Claim.—1. A rotary oiler consisting of a wheel carried f a central hollow shaft, which shaft is mounted in a racket for maintaining contact between the periphery of the wheel and the surface to be lubricated, the rotation resulting from the contact of the said wheel with the surface to be lubricated causing a flow of lubricating medium from the central shaft around the web member of the wheel through orifices delivering to the periphery, all as and for the purposes described.

2. A rotary oiler consisting of a wheel mounted upon a shaft, the shaft provided with a central duct through which a lubricating medium is supplied through the anti-friction bearings with which the wheel is provided to the web of the said wheel, orifices from the web to the periphery of the wheel to allow passage of the lubricating medium and a restraining member packed into the web and enclosed by face plates secured to the sides of the wheel limiting the flow of oil to the periphery, the shaft carrying the said wheel mounted upon suitable members to maintain contact between the periphery of the wheel and the surface to be lubricated, all substantially as described.
