Claim.—1. A shock absorber comprising in combination a supporting bracket, a pivoted rocker formed on the bracket, a spring extending between the rocker arm and the bracket.

4. A shock absorber comprising in combination a supporting bracket, a pivoted rocker on the bracket formed with retaining means at one end adapted to embrace the end of a half cantilever spring and a spring extending between the rocker arm and the bracket.

5. A shock absorber comprising in combination a supporting bracket, a pivoted rocker on the bracket formed with retaining means at one end adapted to embrace the end of a half cantilever spring, a spring extending between the rocker arm and the bracket, a connecting belt extending through the retaining means, and a clip on the end of the rocker arm remote from the retaining means adapted to connect the same with the half cantilever spring.

6. A shock absorber comprising a bracket formed with a plate designed to be secured to a fixed support and being formed with a pair of lugs and with a socket, a pivot pin supported in the lugs, a rocker member mounted on the pivot pin having retaining means of U-shape at one end adapted to embrace the half cantilever spring to the rocker, a spring mounted in the socket bearing against the end of the rocker, and a bolt in the socket extending through the spring and through a suitable perforation in the rocker.
