Description: John Maxwell, Camrose, Alberta, Canada. 30th August, 1921. Filed; 17th July, 1920. Receipt No. 332,454.

Claim.—1. In power shovels, a body, running gear supporting said body, endless side carrier scoops terminating at one end in chute members, motive power operating said carriers and said running gear, and means for swinging said carriers and scoop members from beside the body to behind it.

2. In power shovels, a body, running gear supporting said body, endless side carrier scoops having chutes at the delivery ends and break joints intermediately for collapsible purposes, motive power for said carriers and running gear and means for bringing said carriers to their collapsed condition behind the body.

3. In power shovels, a body, running gear supporting said body, an endless carrier having scoop buckets and a chute delivery and supported in an elevated position at its rear end, means for raising and lowering the carrier at its scoop end motive power for operating said carrier and running gear and means for collapsing and swinging said carrier from the side to the end of the body.
