Description: William Martin, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, 20th September, 1921. Filed 29th November, 1918. Receipt No. 302,055.

Claim.—A pump consisting of a casing, a covering for said casing, part of the wall of said casing being at right angles to the base, while part of the wall bulges outwardly, an axle mounted centrally in said bas-e and said cover, radially spaced plates on said axle, a washer making a tight connection between said plates and said casing, an exit opening from the end of said bulged portion and an intake opening into said casing, a vacuum plate opening between said openings, a vacuum plate reciprocally mounted in last said opening, and tention means of holding the inner end of said plate against said plates having their forward sides rounded.
