Claim –2. The combination with a vehicle including the frame, of a body hingedly connected to said frame, a shaft mounted on said frame, pinions arranged on said shaft, segmental hoist members connoted to said body and adapted for meshing engagement with said pinions, means for actuating said shaft to elevate said body and means for holding said body in adjusted position during the hoisting operation.

The combination with a motor vehicle including the chassis, a body hingedly mounted on said chassis, a shaft, pinions mounted on said shaft, segmental hoisting members secured to said body, said members having meshing engagement with said pinions when the shaft is actuated, a ratchet wheel arranged on said shaft, and a stop member adapted for engagement with said ratchet wheel for holding said segmental members in adjusted position.

The combination with a motor vehicle including the chassis, a body hingedly mounted on said chassis, a shaft, pinions mounted on said shaft, segmental hoisting members secured to said body, said members having meshing engagement with said pinions when the shaft is actuated, a ratchet wheel arranged on said shaft, a stop member adapted for engagement with said ratchet wheel for holding said segmental members in adjusted position and means for returning the said body to its normal position.
