Description: Having regard to the foregoing disclosure, the patent of which this specification forms part confers, subject to the conditions prescribed in the Patent Act, 1935, the exclusive right, privilege and liberty of making, constructing, using and vending to others to be used, the invention as defined in claims submitted by the patentees as follows:-

1. Pea shelling apparatus comprising a frame, a pair of parallel substantially contiguous rolls rotatably mounted on said frame, means for causing said rolls to rotate simultaneously in opposite directions, a feeding guide mounted on one side of said frame extending adjacent to the meeting point of said rolls and designed to receive loamed pea pods whereby on operation of said rolls said pods pass therebetween to one side thereof and the carried peas are forced to drop on the opposite side of said rolls, and a dropping guide member positioned below said rolls and projecting on each side thereof to guide the dropping peas and pods outwardly in opposite directions.

2. A device as claimed in Claim 1 in which a swingable drop plate is carried by the frame on the feeding side of the rolls to prevent the discharged pens from flying upwardly.

3. A device as claimed in Claim 1 in which the feeding guide is removable and adjustable.

4. A pea shelling apparatus comprising an inverted U-shaped frame, a support for said frame, a pair of parallel substantially contiguous rolls rotatably mounted within said frame, means for causing said rolls to rotate simultaneously in opposite directions, a feeding guide mounted on one side of said frame extending to a point adjacent to said rolls designed to receive loaded pea pods whereby on operation of said rolls said pods pass therebetween and to one side thereof and the carried peas are forced to drop on the opposite side thereof, a dropping guide member positioned below said rolls and connected to said U-shaped frame, to guide the dropping peas and pods outwardly in opposite directions.

5. A device as claimed in Claim 4 in which a swingable drop plate is mounted between parts of said U-shaped frame above the feed guide to prevent the discharged peas from flying upwardly.

6. A device as claimed in Claim 4 in which the rolls are removable and detachable means for providing for locking said rolls in normal mounted position.

7. A device as claimed in Claim 6 in which means for removably mounting the rolls consists in slotting the frame to receive one end of the rolls and the means for locking the rolls in normal position within said slots comprises a retaining plate engaging the mounted shaft on said rolls and a swingable locking plate designed to overlap and Abut the guide plate to hold it in position.

8. Pea shelling apparatus comprising a base, a U-shaped frame mounted on said base, a pair of parallel substantially contiguous rolls rotatably mounted to one side of the frame, means for causing said rolls to rotate simultaneously in opposite directions, a feeding guide mounted on the opposite side of the frame and extending adjacent to the meeting point of said rolls designed to receive loaded pea pods whereby on operation mf said rolls said pods pass therebetween to one side thereof and the carried peas are forced to drop on the opposite side thereof, a dropping guide member mounted on said base below said rolls and having sloped portions projecting on each side of the rolls designed to carry the dropping peas and pods outwardly in opposite directions and a swingable drop plate carried by the frame on the feeding side of the rolls above the guide plate to prevent the discharged pens from flying upwardly.
