Claim.—1. A gas burner comprising a horizontally disposed casing in the form of a sectoral annulus having an enclosed chamber therein and provided with concentric rows of burner perforations in the top thereof, fuel inlet means communicating with the casing at the bottom thereof, spaced apart concentric vertical walls above the top of the casing forming vertical passages therebetween, said vertical passages positioned above the concentric rows of burner perforations, and baffles extending transversely of said passages and arranged in staggered formation.

2. A gas burner comprising a horizontally disposed casing in the form of a sectoral annuius having an enclosed chamber therein and provided with concentric rows of burner perforations in the top thereof, fuel inlet means communicating with the casing at the bottom thereof, spaced apart concentric vertical walls above the burner casing forming vertical passages positioned above the concentric
rows of burner perforations, and downwardly directed V-shaped baffles extending transversely of said passages and arranged in staggered formation.

3. A gas burner comprising a horizontally disposed burner casing in the form of a sectoral annuius having an enclosed chamber therein and provided in its upper face with concentric rows of burner perforations and in its under face with gas inlet means, spaced apart concentric vertical walls above the burner casing and forming concentric vertical passages therebetween, said passages positioned vertically above the row of burner perforations and baffles in said vertical passages adapted to deflect the heating gases as they rise through said passages and cause said gases to follow a circuitous path upwardly through said passages.
