Description: James L. Boden, Lacombe, Alberta, Canada, 8th April, 1930. Filed 19th September, 1928. Serial No. 341,475.

Claim.—1. A spark plug including a barrel having a stationary central spark plug depending therethrough, said barrel having a depending non-threaded portion, and an adjustable outer contact member adjustable through said depending portion of the barrel at an angle to the point of the first mentioned contact member, said second contact member having a sharp pointed extremity opposed to the point of the first mentioned contact member, whereby minute adjustments of the width of the spark gap may be accomplished by fine adjustment of the second mentioned contact member in the depending non-threaded portion of said barrel.

2. A spark plug including a barrel having a non-threaded skirt with a depending non-threaded finger projecting therefrom, a central stationary contact member depending through said barrel and said skirt, and a second contact member inclined in said finger and adapted for fine threaded adjustment therethrough to provide for adjustment of the sharp' pointed lower end of said second contact member toward and away from the lower free end of said stationary contact member and thus provide for minute regulation of the width of the spark gap between said contact members.
