Claim.—1. A lamp burner comprising a means of retaining a mantle, a lamp globe, an air distributing crown within the inner aperture of the wick guides, a reinforcing heat conducting plate, an outer perforated supporting shell, a separating plate capable of shutting out direct communication between the oil and the flame, a wick raising mechanism, means of securing the burner to the oil bowl, means of guiding flat wicks and of forming them into continuous circle at the top, the burner having a plurality of openings for taking in air through the sides to feed the flame through the inner aperture.
2. A lamp burner comprising a means of retaining a lamp globe, a reinforcing heat conducting plate, an outer perforated supporting shell having adaptable threaded collars, a division plate capable of shutting out direct communication between the oil and the flame, a wick raising and lowering mechanism, side openings serving as drafts to feed the inner aperture of the flame, the said burner having a plurality of wick guides capable of taking flat wicks and of forming the said wicks into a continuous circle at the top.
3. A lamp burner comprising a means of retaining a lamp globe, a reinforcing heat conducting plate, an outer perforated supporting shell having means of being secured to the collar of an oil bowl having no inner air feeding channel, a division plate capable of shutting out direct communication between the oil and the flame, a wick raising and lowering mechanism, a side opening serving as a draft to feed the inner aperture of the flame and the said burner having a wick guide capable of taking a flat wick and of forming the said wick into a continuous circle at the top.
