Description: Thomas Chee Choo, Hanna. Alberta, Canada, 27th May, 1930. Filed 11th July, 1929. Serial No. 352,876.

Claim.—1. A fountain brush comprising a head. Said head composed of adjoined portions, said portions having meeting faces, hairs carried by one of said portions, said hairs being secured to the outer face thereof, slotted clips projecting from said portion to embrace adjoined portion, bolts extending through other said portion, said bolts disposed near its meeting face and spaced to align and operably engage with said slotted clips of adjoined portion, thumb-screws adapted to engage said bolts, said thumb-screws provided to compress said clips, assisting their embrace of the adjoined portion, a channel produced in said meeting face of said other portion, said channel disposed crosswise of said head, a handle associated with said other portion, an elongated orifice produced through longitudinal centre of said handle, said orifice extending through the meeting face of said other portion, to merge with said channel, a pipe conduit embedded within said channel, said pipe conduit having removable caps attached to each end thereof, a shank portion interconnecting said conduit and laterally extending therefrom, said shank portion extending through aforesaid orifice in handle slightly projecting therebeyond, threads produced in said projection, spouts interconnected with aforesaid pipe, conduit, said spouts laterally disposed therefrom in opposite direction from said shank, said spouts, spaced at distances throughout length of said pipe conduit, orifices produced in aforesaid one of said portions, said orifices to receive said spouts therethrough, and valve means associated with said shank for the purpose specified.

A fountain brush comprising a head, said head composed of adjoined portions, said portions having meeting faces, hairs carried by one of said portions, said hairs being secured to the outer face thereof, slotted clips projecting from said portion to embrace adjoined portion, bolts extending through other said portion, said bolts disposed near its meeting face and spaced to align and operably engage with said slotted clips of adjoined portion, thumb-screws adapted to engage said bolts, said thumb-screws provided to compress said clips, assisting their embrace of the adjoined portion, a channel produced in said meeting face of said other portion, said channel disposed crosswise of said bead, a handle associated with said other portion, an elongated orifice produced through longitudinal centre of said handle, said orifice extending through to meeting face of said other portion, to merge with said channel, a pipe conduit embedded within said channel, said pipe conduit having removable caps attached to each end thereof, a shank portion interconnecting said conduit and laterally extending therefrom, said shank portion extending through aforesaid orifice in handle slightly projecting therebeyond, threads produced on said projection, spouts interconnected with aforesaid pipe conduit, said spouts laterally disposed therefrom in opposite direction from said shank, said spouts spared at distances throughout length of said pipe conduit, orifices produced in aforesaid one of said portions, said orifices to receive said spouts therethrough, and valve means associated with said shank, a container associated with said brush, loops connected to said container, said loops adapted to receive a strap or like therethrough, hooks attached to said container, an opening produced in top of said container, a cap for closing said opening, conduits depending within said container, said conduits having their upper ends extending above top of said container, caps for engaging and closing top of said conduits, a pump depending to within said container, said pump provided with an operating handle extending above said container, and a hose for interconnecting said container and brush, said hose having suitable provision for connecting with extended upper ends of said conduit and projecting end of said shank portion as and for the purpose specified.
