Claim.—1. In an anchor for animal traps, a pair of sectors hingingly connected, a pair of threaded nuts carried by the free end of said sectors, and a screw in one of the nuts positioned to engage the threaded portion of the other nut to secure the sectors in position.

2. In an anchor of the class described, a pair of rods curved to form sectors, means to hinge the same at one end thereof, means to secure the anchor to a holder, comprising threaded nuts fastened to the free ends, and means in one of the nuts to engage the other when in closed position.
