Hip Rule and Tool Pocket for Overalls (Patent No: 305574)

Description: Charles Archibald Graham, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, 11th November, 1930. Filed 14th April, 1930. Serial No. 363,483.

Claim.—3. The combination with an overall having a hip pocket of a tool and rule pocket, comprising a pocket piece stitched to the overall alone its middle line and along the base, a pocket covering of similar shape superimposed above said pocket piece stitched across the top to the top of said pocket piece, the longitudinal edge of said pocket covering and overlapping the edges of said pocket piece and sewed thereto and to said pocket mounting, the top of said pocket piece and pocket covering overlapping the lower edge of said hip pocket, reinforced stitching at independent points in the pocket piece and pocket covering entering through the base of the hip pocket and to the overall and stitching across the base of the pocket covering and through said overall whereby a combination reinforced pocket having independent openings is formed on the overall.

4. A tool and rule pocket for overalls, comprising a pocket piece of limited length secured to a mounting forming dual pocket compartments opening along the upper edge thereof, a superimposed pocket covering a greater length than the pocket piece adapted to cover said pocket piece forming a second independent pocket having a longitudinally disposed opening secured around its longitudinal
edges through said pocket piece and to said mounting stitching across the upper lateral edge of the pocket covering to the edge of the pocket piece and stitching across the base of the pocket covering through said mounting forming a combination pocket having independent openings.

5. A rule and tool pocket for overalls, comprising a pocket piece secured to a mounting along its middle line and along the base to form- dual pocket compartments opening along the upper edge thereof, a pocket covering formed of two sections joined along a partial length of their meeting edges forming an opening between the sections, said pocket covering being of similar shape to the
pocket piece and superimposed thereabove, stitching across the top of said covering through said pocket piece, the longitudinal edges of said pocket covering overlying the edges of the said pocket piece and sewed therethrough and to said pocket mounting and stitching across the base of the pocket covering and through said mounting whereby a combination pocket having independent openings is formed.
