Claim.—A collar stud and tie fastener of the type described comprising a stud mounted on a base plate, a hasp hingedly attached to the upper end of said base plate arranged to saving radially on the opposite side of said base plate from said stud, a distance piece attached to the lower end of said base plate, on the same side as the swinging hasp, provided to maintain the parallel alignment of said hasp with said base plate, and to keep these two members a distance apart sufficient for the insertion of an ordinary tic, a snap or clip fastener combined with the free end of said distance piece and a slot or other clip device provided at the lower extremity of said hinged hasp, all as set forth in the drawings and specification.
