Description: Orville Newton Gilbert, Rosebud, Alberta, Canada, 31st March, 1936. Filed 5th December, 1931. Serial No. 413,833.

Claim.—1. In a grain stacking machine, an oblong wagon-box with slightly flared sides and a hinged door at the rear end, supported and pivoted on an axle of a truck centrally located, a draw-bar firmly attached to said axle and forming a rest for said wagon-box, a catch attached to said draw-bar and engaging with lower front frame of said wagon-box, a compression spring to now said catch in place, and a cable for releasing said catch and allowing the said wagon-box to be inclined, substantially as set forth.

2. In a grain shirking machine, an oblong wagon-box with sides constructed in form of trusses and a slightly outward flare towards rear end, a front frame connecting said sides and a hinged door fitted to the rear, the whole supported on a bottom frame consisting of cross and longitudinal members, the said wagon-box being supported centrally on tile axle of a truck and pivoted on same so as to swing vertically, a draw-bar firmly attached to said axle and forming a rest for the wagon-box, front and rear guide rods attached to top longitudinal member on one side of wagon-box to guide the elevator which is attached to the cutting machine being used in conjunction with the stacking machine, a bunker firmly attached to the aforesaid draw-bar for guiding the vertical swing of the wagon-box, a catch attached to said draw-bar and engaging with lower front frame of the said wagon-box, a compression spring connected to the catch and draw-bar to hold said catch engaged, a cable for releasing said catch and allowing the wagon-box to be inclined in a vertical position, a movable false front loosely attached in wagon-box to compress and hold stack in formation during the dumping process, a cable attached to said false front and extending beyond rear of wagon-box, a ring or loop attached to said cable to engage with a dead-man in the form of a fork, a concave or other suitably shaped floor supported on a false frame attached to lower portion of wagon-box to fashion top of stack when dumped on ground to form a water shed, and a stack finally released in compact form from said wagon-box and set solidly upon the ground, substantially as set forth.
