Claim.—1. A lubricating oil reclaimer, comprising in combination, inner and outer casing, a cap for said outer casing, said casing bring spaced one from I he other to provide an annular filtering chamber, an oil inlet connecting with said annular chamber, filtering material within said chamber, said inner casing extending right up to the under surface of said cap, a heating element, said inner casing being provided with an aperture through which oil filtered through said material may pass and gravitate onto said heating element, said cap being provided with a vapour-discharge aperture connecting with the interior of said inner casing.

2. In an oil reclaimer having an outer casing designed to be at least partially filled with filtering material, and enclosed at the top by a cover plate or cap, an inner casing or tube extending through said outer casing, said filtering material surrounding said inner casing or tube, said inner casing or tube extending to the top of said outer casing and contacting said plate or cap, said plate or cap being provided with a vapour-escape aperture located within the area bounded by said inner casing or tube, said inner casing or tube functioning to facilitate the escape of vapour from oil being reclaimed or distilled with the aid of a heater at a location below the upper surface of the filtering material within said outer casing.
