CIaim.1—A pair of shears comprising a pair of pivoted blades, a pair of pivoted handles at their forward ends to the rear ends of the blades, studs formed upon the handles rearwardly of their pivots, a spring engaged at its end with the studs, a link pivoted to one of the handles and a hook formed upon the other handle fir engagement by the link when the shears are closed.
