An antenna for use with broadcast receiving sets comprising a horseshoe magnet provided with a first insulated wire winding distributed throughout the length of said magnet, a keeper and a shuttle positioned between the poles of said magnet said shuttle being provided with a second winding said second winding being connected in shunt with said first winding at a first and a second connection point said first point being adapted for further connection to the antenna post of a receiver and said second point being connected to said horseshoe magnet and thence to ground, should the receiver require a ground connection.
