1. In combination with an aircraft having landing gear, a ski, an inner cylinder fixed rigidly to the aircraft landing gear, an outer cylinder fixed rigidly to the ski and mounted rotatably on the inner cylinder for rotation about the inner cylinder to move the ski into position above and below the aircraft landing gear and means for selectively rotating the outer cylinder with respect to the inner cylinder.

The combination as claimed in claim 1 wherein the means for selectively rotating the outer cylinder with respect to the inner cylinder comprises spiral slots in the inner cylinder, spiral slots in the outer cylinder oppositely spiral to the said slots in the inner cylinder, a wrist pin extending laterally through the outer and inner cylinders and located in the spiral slots and means for moving the said wrist pin longitudinally with respect to the said cylinder.

3. The combination as claimed in claim 1 wherein there is provided means for locking the aircraft ski in position above or below the aircraft landing gear.

5. The combination as claimed in claim 2 wherein the means for moving the wrist pin longitudinally comprises a piston operable within the inner cylinder and fixed to the wrist pin, hydraulic mechanisms operatively to the inner cylinder for moving the piston longitudinally within the cylinder.
