Description: The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows:
1. In a recording device having a housing with a drive motor and a recording stylus a continuous recording mechanism comprising a helical recording chart having a driven connection from the said drive motor, such recording chart having a plurality of circumvolutions and spacing means to spread adjacent circumvolutions of the said chart while recording therebetween.
2. In a recording device having a housing with a drive motor and drive plate mounted therein and a recording stylus adapted to inscribe an arc across the said drive plate, a continuous recording chart in helical form having a plurality of circumvolutions and a spacing element secured to the said housing to hold adjacent circumvolutions of the chart apart and allow movement of the recording stylus therebetween.
3. The recording device as claimed in Claims 1 and 2 wherein the said recording stylus is hinged and spring loaded to maintain constant pressure against the circumvolutions of the recording chart.
