The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows:


I CLAIM:


1. An insulated portable container comprising an outer container having a cover anc1 a handle, an inner container having a cover and a. handle, said inner container being removably mounted within said outer container, the said outer container, inner container and said covers having inner and outer walls, insulating material between the inner and outer walls of said outer end inner containers and said covers, downwardly extending flanges formed on the outer parts of said covers for fitting tightly over the upper edges of said outer and inner containers, a downwardly extending projection from the outer wall of said inner container upwardly extending projections on the bottom port ion of said inner wall of said outer container forming a circular groove into which said downwardly extending projection on said inner container is adapted to fit to form an additional dead air space and a downwardly extending flange formed on the base of the outer container in direct alignment with the outer wall to form a still additional dead air space.
