Hair Dye Dispensing Gun (Patent No: 749202)

Description:
The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows:

1. A method of applying dye to hair consisting in filling a plurality of containers with dyes of different shades, feeding a gas under pressure into the dyes to fluff the dyes, dispensing the fluffed dyes in ribbon form through separate dispensing channels, liberating the gas from the fluffed dyes during the working of the fluffed dyes into the hair, and manually controlling the dispensing operation of one or more of the dye dispensing containers.

2. A method of applying dye to hair as defined in Claim 1 in which the ribbon form fluffed dyes are dispensed in parallel relation for application to the hair.

3. A method of applying dye to hair as defined in Claim 1 in which nascent oxygen is fed under pressure into the dyes to fluff the dyes, and the oxygen made available to the hair during the working of the ribbon form fluffed dyes into the hair.

4. A hair dye dispensing gun comprising a frame, a plurality of dye containers mounted in said frame, pressure chambers mounted on the upper ends of said dye containers, a gas distributor header mounted on said frame, connections from the said distributor header to each of said dye containers, conduits feeding gas to each of said dye containers, fluffing members in each of said dye containers connected to said conduits, second conduits connected to said fluffing members and said dispensing chambers, and a fluffed dye distributor connected with the dispensing chambers.

5. A hair dye dispensing gun as defined in Claim 4 in which the said fluffed dye distributor is provided with a plurality of discharge channels formed in ribbon shaped cross section, each of said channels being connected with one of said dispensing chambers.


6. A hair dye dispensing gun as defined in Claim 4 in which manually operated means are provided Łor controlling the operation oŁ selected containers and dispensing chambers.


7. A hair dye dispensing gun as defined in Claim 4 in which a pressure exhausting valve is mounted on each of the dye containers.
