Description: The embodiments ot: the invent ion in which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows:

1. A chair lift comprising a wheeled base, a tubular post mounted on said base in an upright p08ition, said post having opposed longitudinal slots in its wall, a lift strap extending transversely of said post through said slots, said strap being slidably mounted in said slots tor movement longitudinally of said post, a drum and drank attached to the outside wall of said post adjacent its lower end, a pulley mounted in the upper end of said post, a able attached to said drum and trained over said pulley with its tree end attached to said lift strap, a chair having side walls provided with longitudinal sleeves, a pair of arms attached to the ends of said lift strap and extending upwardly at an inclined angle in spaced parallel relation, the upper ends of said arms extending horizontelly for sliding engagement w1th the sleeves on the side walls of said chair.

2. A chair lift as described in claim 1, wherein the base is provided with legs beneath said pair of arms, said legs being hingedly mounted to swing laterally to spread the legs apart to provide an open space beneath the chair.
