Claim.—1. The combination with a sewing machine, of a channeller comprising a spindle provided at one end with an offset knife portion, the other end being provided with a crank arm, a block slidably mounted on the channeller, links operatively connecting the sliding block and crank arm, and means for actuating the sliding block.

2. The combination with a sewing machine, of a channeller comprising a spindle terminating at one end in an offset knife portion, the other end being formed with a crank, a sliding block, links operatively connecting the sliding block with the crank, and guiding means co-acting with the sliding block, and a spindle making threaded engagement with the sliding block.

3. The combination with a sewing machine of a channeller comprising a spindle provided at one end with an offset knife portion, the other end being: formed with a crank, a sliding block operatively connected to the crank arms, means for actuating the sliding block, and a guide rod carried by the channeller making sliding engagement with the sliding block.

4. The combination with a sewing machine of a channeller comprising a spindle provided at one end with an offset knife portion, the other end being formed with a crank, a U-shaped sliding block operatively connected to the crank arms, means for actuating the sliding block, and a guide rod carried by the channeller making sliding engagement with the sliding block.
