Organization Mission Statement:

Volunteer Calgary is pleased to be celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2005. Established by the Junior League of Calgary in 1955, it has devoted itself to the enhancement of volunteerism in Calgary through a number of activities including:

Volunteer Calgary’s online searchable database connects Calgarians with volunteer opportunities. In 2003, more than 161,000 searches were conducted by Calgarians. To search for a volunteer opportunity, go to: http://www.volunteercalgary.ab.ca

400+ nonprofit organizations in Calgary and area are members of Volunteer Calgary

Volunteer Calgary offers several training workshops for managers of volunteers and shares information regarding the sector.

Volunteer Calgary’s Library, which features more than 3,000 titles, is one of the best sources of information on nonprofit and voluntary organization management in southern Alberta.
