Alberta College

One of the largest music schools in Canada, the Music Conservatory at Alberta College was established in 1903 and has been affiliated with the college since 1973.

There is a program for every skill level, age or instrument in 55 different studios. University transfer credits are also available for students who wish to continue their musical education at a post-secondary institution.

While individual lessons are the main focus, ensemble groups offer a unique chance for musicians to combine their talents with others in a semi-professional setting. These groups cover a wide range of instruments and music styles including a percussion ensemble, flute choir, saxophone quartet and Celtic harp ensemble.

In addition to a more formal classical instruction, the college is home to the Schola Cantorum choral program, summer camps for school aged children and the music in early childhood program. Festivals and concerts, showcasing the wide range of talent from their students, occur throughout the year.
